The creativity and productivity coming from The University of Texas — scientific knowledge and breakthrough inventions; discoveries in history, culture, and art; leadership in public education; job creation and economic development — are matched by few institutions. The Campaign for Texas will raise $3 billion to strengthen these endeavors and to carry out the recommendations of the Commission of 125, which established goals for the University in the coming 25 years. Gifts to the campaign will support first-rate faculty, talented undergraduate and graduate students, research and academic programs across all disciplines, and crucial facilities and infrastructure. Support in these strategic areas will enable the University to compete for the best people, modernize its beautiful but aging campus, encourage innovation, and strengthen its economic, social, and cultural impact. The Campaign for Texas will help ensure that the University has the continued capacity to contribute to the quality of life and creativity of our nation. |
