Celebrate National Nurses Month with ‘Honor a Nurse’ Donation to School of Nursing

Giving News

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing has established the Honor a Nurse program to recognize nurses who have made a difference. Honor your favorite nurses with a donation during May — National Nurses Month — to show your appreciation to these men and women who have devoted their lives to caring for people and keeping them healthy.

UT's School of Nursing is at the forefront of innovation and best practices. Donations to the school's $15 million campaign will ensure its continued excellence.

This is a chance to return the kindness that nurses share every day, while helping future nurses achieve their educational goals. The Honor a Nurse program supports the Nursing Alumni Reunion Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for students with financial need. Your honorees will receive a personalized card and will be recognized on the School of Nursing’s website, in its electronic newsletter, and on its alumni network Facebook page.

“By making a tax-deductible gift to the School of Nursing through its Honor a Nurse program, you will not only be supporting the scholarship fund, but will have the opportunity to honor a nurse who has helped change someone’s life,” says Alisa Cohen Victoria, director of development for the school.
