Lauren H., McCombs School of Business, BBA ProgramThe University of Texas at Austin was a clear choice for me, in large part due to the prestige of the McCombs School of Business. McCombs seemed to be a place where I could explore many aspects of the business world, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’ve had the opportunity to explore several interests — from Latin American culture to marketing — while discovering new ones, such as hospitality management. And the support of alumni and friends has played an important role in my journey.

I’ve learned a lot about philanthropy as a McCombs BBA student. I’ve received scholarship support, which has helped me immensely and shown me firsthand the impact financial support can have on a student’s life. This support has enabled me to dedicate myself to my studies and student organizations, such as the BBA Legacy student giving campaign, where I served on the events committee. To date, we’ve raised almost $6,000 from BBA students! This experience taught me the importance of giving back to the McCombs School and has inspired me to give as a student — and I hope to continue after I graduate.

Your support can help the BBA Program grow stronger and fund priorities such as:

  • Recruiting and retaining top-notch students and research faculty.
  • Researching global issues such as energy efficiency and sustainability, economic reform, and the evolving role of business in society.
  • Increasing the number of influential scholars to visit and lecture at McCombs and provide more opportunities for high-profile annual conferences to be held in our facilities.

Your gift to the McCombs School can go a long way. Please join me in showing your support by making a gift online today.
