The Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE) at The University of Texas at Austin is one of the most innovative and comprehensive initiatives of its kind. The skills necessary in today’s increasingly global marketplace can be developed only through exposure to diverse people, cultures, ideas, and viewpoints. A national exemplar, DDCE possesses a depth and breadth of programs that:

Promote excellence in education and foster a robust learning environment by attracting a richly diverse mix of faculty, staff, and students.

Use the University’s intellectual resources to positively affect the community. DDCE programs help students enter college and provide them with the academic, social, and cultural capital to succeed at the University and to become leaders in their communities and professions.
