As one of the nation’s leading public universities, The University of Texas at Austin prepares its students to become competent global citizens and take advantage of opportunities in an increasingly global society.  Key in fulfilling that mission is the International Office. The innovative programs provided by the International Office champion the tenets of inclusion, diversity, and cultural understanding.

The International Office fosters global exchange by creating access for UT students seeking to study abroad and for international students who study at UT.  Ranked fifth in the U.S. for the number of students studying abroad, The University of Texas at Austin has programs in more than 70 countries.  UT Austin is also host to almost 5,000 international students and 1,500 international faculty and scholars from more than 120 countries.

The International Office is the institutional home of Study Abroad, International Student & Scholar Services, English as a Second Language Services, Global Safety & Security, and Global Initiatives.
