Grantseekers Guide

In addition to your proposal narrative and budget, most corporate and foundation funders require that documentation about your organization be included in the proposal package. Supporting documents that funders typically request are the organization’s IRS tax-exempt determination letter, financial statements, board of directors, and operating budget. Some may also require a transmittal letter from the president or a senior administrator to demonstrate support for the proposal at the highest level.

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) can provide supporting documents upon request for UT Austin and the UT Foundation, including draft letters for signature by senior administrators. The documents most commonly requested can be downloaded below. If you need a document that is not included here, contact us. Please be aware that transmittal letters and special supporting documents may take a few days to prepare.
