Dell Pediatric Research Institute

Dell Pediatric Research Institute

Would you help make children healthier if you could, even save their lives? Would you help biomedical science reach advances that were once unimagined? Would you help The University of Texas at Austin rise from its position as a leading national research university to the nation’s best public research university? Would you boost the economic health of Austin, Central Texas, and the entire state?

These aren’t rhetorical questions. These are the bases of a partnership The University of Texas at Austin is forming with UT System health components and private supporters. The University of Texas at Austin is seeking philanthropic support for the Dell Pediatric Research Institute, the first phase in a biomedical research campus that will transform scientific knowledge, children’s health, the University, and Austin itself. The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation will match donations up to $38 million.

The 150,000-square-foot, $97 million research facility is adjacent to the Dell Children’s Medical Center. The University has long shaped the state’s culture, identity, knowledge base, and stature. Soon its longtime impact on Texans’ health will become more far-reaching and powerful than ever. An investment in the Dell Pediatric Research Institute is an investment in Texas’ quality of life.
