In 2024, the Longhorn Band will celebrate a major milestone — its 125th season of ringing the cowbells, shaking the fringe and raising the spirits of Longhorn Nation. The band, alongside Texas Athletics, will also move to the Southeastern Conference and compete on collegiate sports’ biggest stage. With your help, we can send the Showband of the Southwest into the SEC as the country’s best — and best-supported — band. Back the band today!

Magic Going

When UT moves into the SEC in 2024, the Longhorn Band will be competing against some of the most well-funded bands in the country. Let’s make sure the best band on the field is always wearing burnt orange.

Your documented gift in your estate plan will qualify for the Longhorn Band Legacy Challenge. Through the challenge, the President’s Development Board will make an immediate gift in your honor to the Longhorn Band Legacy Fund. You will also become a member of the Script Texas Society and receive recognition on a new donor wall.

Your gift will grow the Longhorn Band Legacy Fund endowment so that eligible band members receive a service award. These financial awards recognize students for the long hours outside the classroom to practice, perform and provide enjoyment to thousands.

“Being in the band is a privilege that requires dedication and lots of practice time, beyond my academic pursuits. The scholarships that donors provide allow me to fully apply myself to my studies and focus on what’s most important.”
