From building McDonald Observatory to establishing the Jackson School of Geosciences and the completion of the Tower’s beloved carillon bells — and so much more — estate gifts have transformed the University’s story in amazing ways. Now you can add your own story to UT’s epic book!

Make UT a Part of Your Legacy

The Leaders Legacy Challenge unites fundraising efforts across campus in a spirited competition to inspire each volunteer leader to create an estate gift. The most successful colleges, schools and units (CSU) or campus-wide boards will be awarded discretionary funds — and there are other great incentives, too, like unique on-campus experiences designed for the winners.

Interim President Jim Davis will award a $50,000 bonus to the dean’s or director’s discretionary fund for the CSU or board that raises the highest dollar value in new/upgraded gifts, and $25,000 each to the CSU or boards with the largest participation percentage increase of new donors, and number of new gifts/upgraded gifts.

Other incentives include unique on-campus experiences for the winning CSUs or boards. These experiences will be determined in consultation with the winning CSU/boards as the sizes of these groups will vary. For more information, review these frequently asked questions.
