Donors lead the drive for DKR renovations
It’s never too early to think about next season.
Thanks to the generosity of Longhorn Nation, Texas football players and fans can look forward to some exciting changes at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.
This fall, Texas Athletics announced that the late Longhorn supporter Frank Denius and his family have made the lead gift to build The Frank Denius Family University of Texas Athletics Hall of Fame. The university’s first ever hall of fame will celebrate the rich history of Longhorn sports, featuring displays that tell the story of Texas Athletics from the nineteenth century through today.
Many fans are already looking ahead to 2021, when a newly expanded and renovated south end zone will open. The $175 million projects will enhance the experience for student athletes and provide new, unique fan experiences — including club, patio and loge seating and Founders Suites — on game day.
