The Heart of Health Care
Dr. Clay Johnston, dean of Dell Medical School said, “Not only is Dr. Fraser one of the country’s top surgeons, he is constantly pushing the threshold for improving the systems of care. That makes him a perfect fit for the work that the medical school and our partners are doing to improve health in Austin and Central Texas.”
Throughout his career, Fraser and his team have performed more than 16,000 heart surgeries with a focus on the treatment of infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. Before accepting the position at UT, Fraser was a surgeon in chief at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
