Leave a Texas-Sized Legacy!
Fifty years ago, Jeffrey Petterson earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, and he walked away from the Forty Acres with an extraordinary college experience that would shape his future and impact his life in many ways. And he did so thanks in part to a scholarship given by a generous friend of the university.
Years later, Jeffrey began to think about how he wanted to be remembered, which led him and his brother and sister to establish the Petterson Family Endowed Scholarship in Computer Science.
Vishal Rachapudi is a recent recipient of the scholarship, and shares, “I’m eternally grateful for such a generous scholarship to study in one of the most prestigious computer science programs in the world. Financial worries at home put enormous pressure on me to work more hours, and it was affecting my school performance. Now, thanks to this scholarship, I can work less and study more. Thank you for investing in my future!”
The Petterson family’s scholarship fund has extended their legacy far beyond the family’s own lives –– which you can do, too. Find out how you can help leave a Texas-sized legacy for other students like Vishal.
